SCORECARD SYSTEMS SELECTED BY
COLUMBUS COMMUNICATIONS JAMAICA FOR
REPORTING, ANALYSIS SOLUTIONS
Solutions’ Detailed, Rich Information To Give Caribbean Triple-Play Provider Strong Advantage In Competitive Environment
TORONTO, CANADA, February 13, 2008 -- Scorecard Systems Inc., the global
leader in reporting and analysis solutions for cable, broadband and telecommunications
companies, today announced that it had been selected by Columbus Communications Jamaica Limited, which operates under the "Flow" brand, to provide the triple play provider with a more robust, and rich subscriber and service analysis capability across the organization. Scorecard’s solutions, which drive deeper, more accurate analysis of customer activity, reduce commission and acquisition costs, and put powerful analytical ability directly in the hands of end-users, will provide such capability to all of Flow’s regions and corporate departments.
Columbus Communications Jamaica Limited is the most technologically advanced entertainment provider in Jamaica, with a rapidly growing customer base serviced by a team of 560 employees.
Flow, the second member of the Columbus Communications group to sign with Scorecard Systems, will be implementing Scorecard’s Subscriber Analysis Application, Commission Manager, and Revenue/Usage and Trouble Ticket Analysis reporting modules. The resultant analysis capabilities will provide Flow a complete picture of customer interaction from acquisition and churn to truck rolls, service calls, and resultant revenue, as well as identify upsell opportunities. In addition, it will provide insight into problems with cancelled pending installs due to technician or CSR error and automate the company’s commissions process, permitting different payment plans by sales rep, CSR, technician, region, etc., The Commissions System massively reducing the amount of time that commission analysts need to spend calculating commissions and resolving discrepancies.
"Scorecard’s solution will provide one, comprehensive view of all customer and service activity for our triple play businesses in a single application, which we view as a critical advantage in our competitive marketplace," said Jean McPherson, Director of Marketing at Flow. "Our data quality, richness, integrity and speed of reporting will be greatly enhanced, providing us with significantly more insight into our customer, product and bundle performance. We also believe that the solution will yield meaningful cost savings as well."
"We are pleased to enable Flow to efficiently and productively manage the complexity of reporting and paying commissions for multiple lines of business," said Simon Marwood, Scorecard CEO. Many carriers struggle with manual commission payment processes which require whole teams of analysts. Subscriber reporting has been a pain point in the industry for a long time, and Flow avoids the intricacies of trying to build a long-term solution in-house by leveraging our solution, which has been proven at many other carriers. The capabilities the system provides will have a direct impact on reducing subscriber and service acquisition costs, improving customer service by field staff, and providing Flow’s marketing team with the ability to quickly monitor take and churn rates for new services and bundles.
Scorecard Systems’ Subscriber Analysis Application, which has been deployed at dozens of service providers worldwide, and which today measures results for over 100 million subscribers, can be deployed within an Enterprise Data Warehouse or as a standalone analysis tool, allowing service providers to measure customer activity using a table-based, user-configurable business rules approach that leverages subscriber industry standards — all customized for an organization’s needs. The application provides:
- More detailed, timely, accurate and in-depth reporting and analysis capabilities
- Reduction of commission overpayments and costs of acquisition
- Reduction of dealer and salesperson fraud
- Increased penetration of Value Added Services to existing customer base
The rules are applied automatically at the subscriber/service/billing code level, with the results made available to any number of query, reporting, OLAP or other tools.
